EUROPEAN STANDARD

UNI EN 13034:2009

Protective clothing against liquid chemicals.

Limited protection against liquid chemical agents (Type 6 and Type PB equipment [6]. The standard specifies minimum requirements for reusable, limited-use chemical protective clothing offering limited protection. Chemical protective clothing offering limited protection is designed for use in cases of potential exposure to light splashes and liquid or low-pressure aerosols, against which a complete barrier against liquid permeation (at the molecular level) is not required.

The standard provides for mechanical testing of materials and tests for repellency and impermeability against acid solutions and liquid hydrocarbons. Protection is obtained by applying chemical products on the materials used or by using impermeable materials. Protection can be restored during washing.
