The ISSALINE Softshell uses a TPU membrane from the world of sports to address two important aspects, waterproofing and breathability.
The ISSALINE membrane contains thousands of micro-holes to keep water out but large enough to allow sweat to escape, resulting in a comfortable body temperature.
The body of an adult male can produce an amount of sweat per hour equal to 50 ml in the resting phase, one liter per hour during heavy work activities and up to four liters during an Olympic marathon.
It can be easily understood that the sweat that cannot be transferred to the outside remains on the skin and soaks into the clothing, causing a cold effect in winter and heat in summer.
It is measured in mm reached, the value with a column of water placed on the fabric without passing through it: the higher the number (high pressure) the greater the resistance of the fabric to water.
It is measured in MVP, the amount of water vapor (sweat) that passes through one m2 of fabric in 24 h, grams / m2/ 24h. The higher this value, the higher the level of breathability.
